Medicinal herbs are used in indigenous system of medicine for various diseases. Moringa oleifera has a high medicinal value which has been recognized. A study on the protective effect of Moringa oleifera leaf extract in acute arsenite induced toxicity in rats was evaluated. Moringa oleifera leaf extract (200 mg/kg body weight/day) obtained by cold maceration technique, was administrated orally to the albino rats. Its protective effect was determined on sodium arsenite induced changes in the blood cell counts, hemoglobin, cholesterol and sugar. Blood sample was collected by tail vein puncture. Rats given sodium arsenite only produced significant decrease in blood haemoglobin, red blood cell and white blood cell counts and increased the blood cholesterol and sugar levels when compared to control rats. Pretreatment with 200 mg/kg body weight of Moringa oleifera leaf extract markedly increased the blood cell counts and the haemoglobin. It also decreased the cholesterol and sugar values. The extract contains substances that acts as an antioxidant and prevents the damage produced by arsenite on various tissues.Keywords

Objective: This study was undertaken to investigate the antiperoxide effect of garlic oil on various tissues and blood cell counts of arsenic exposed albino mice. Materials and methods: Garlic oil (100 mg/ kg body wt/ day) removed from garlic pearls purchased from Ranbaxy was administered orally to albino mice and its protective effect was determined on sodium arsenite-induced lipid peroxidation (LPO) of different tissues and blood cell counts of mice. Results: A significant reduction in arsenicinduced LPO in the kidney of mice was observed after the administration of garlic oil. There was a significant increase in the number of neutrophils and eosinophils in mice administered with garlic oil. A significant weight gain observed in mice given sodium arsenite (i.p.) was found to be declined after the garlic oil administration. Conclusion: These results indicate that garlic oil can be administered in the form of garlic pearls to persons who are working in places of coal burning, mining and metal ore smelting, as the diallyl disulphide (DADS) which is the active principle of garlic has a possible protective role on LPO status of certain tissues and blood cell counts of arsenic exposed mice.Keywords

Objective: The study was undertaken to assess the antiperoxide effect of Hibiscus esculentus fruit on various tissues, blood cell counts and haemoglobin of arsenite exposed albino rats. Materials and methods: H.esculentus fruit extract (200 mg/kg body wt/day) obtained by continuous hot percolation in soxhlet apparatus and was administered orally to albino rats. Its protective effect was determined on sodium arsenite induced lipid peroxidation (LPO), superoxide dismutase (SOD) levels of various tissues, blood cell counts and haemoglobin of rats. Results: A significant reduction in arsenic induced LPO in brain, heart, lungs and liver was observed after the administration of H.esculentus fruit extract. The blood lactate and SOD levels in tissues decreases when the extract was given with arsenite. There was a significant increase in RBC, WBC, neutrophils, lymphocytes, haemoglobin and percentage of body weight in rats administered with H.esculentus. Conclusion: These results indicate that people exposed to higher levels of arsenite can increase their intake of H.esculentus, as the quercetin 3-O-glucoside which is the major antioxidant of H.esculentus has a possible protective role on LPO status of certain tissues and blood cell counts of arsenic exposed rats.Keywords

3D shape reconstruction from 2D images is an inverse problem, and is therefore mathematically ill-posed. One solution to 3D shape reconstruction problem is to use a model based approach. This paper presents an analysis by synthesis method for solving 3D face reconstruction problems using anatomical landmarks and intensity from 2D frontal face images.
To improve the quality of 3D shape reconstruction we incorporate a number of steps in analysis by synthesis framework. Firstly, we approach the 3D model construction problem by using rigid and non rigid surface registration. Secondly, we simplify the shape estimation by using multidimensional amoeba optimization to optimize shape parameters while mapping texture directly using 3D-2D alignment. Thirdly, we evaluate the quality of the 3D shape reconstruction in the context of 3D shape error as well as by visual analysis.

Objectives: During travelling mobile hosts move from one cell to another cell, to deliver continuous service, the new cell would have sufficient channels to support the ongoing communication of the mobile hosts that moved into the cell. If channels are statically allocated, a cell may run out of channels when large number of mobile hosts moves to a cell, thus degrading the quality of service. Because allocation of cells statically without knowing the proper information hold most cells so it will decrease the quality of service of cellular network. Methods/Statistical Analysis: To overwhelm this problem, dynamic channel allocation methods have been proposed which allocate channels to cells on request, thus cumulative channel consumption and hence improving the quality of service. This scheme aimed at minimizing the effect of assigned channels on the availability of them in order to use in the interfering cells and reduce their overall reuse distance. Findings: The system shows better performance when the channels are distributed uniformly/non-uniformly with queues using the frequency reuse scheme. In order to support QoS in cellular networks it is a significant issue to allocate the communication channels efficiently because the bandwidth allocated for the cellular communication. The existing system used channel allocation system, based on traffic and priority, but it is not enough. Applications/Improvements: The proposed system is designed based on the time of entering of the cellular node in a new allocated cell and the time period for the particular cell stayed in the previous cell. So it is better for the travelling cellular networks. This research work focus only on a class of applications needing hard QoS guarantee. A more interesting work will address how to allocate.Keywords

Objective: Real-time monitoring of patients is considered as the key issues in managing healthcare system. Wireless Body Area Networks (WBAN) is one of the wise healthcare monitoring systems holding applications in numerous fields like medical, wellness, military, sports and so forth. The correspondence standard for Wireless Body Area Networks is characterized by the IEEE 802.15.6 for the operation around the human body. In WBAN, network longevity is one noteworthy issue confronted following the constrained energy supply in body nodes. Methods: The primary goal of this work is to expand the network lifetime, so a Modified Position Aware Algorithm is actualized where the spatial coordinates and battery status of every node is shared to all the nodes inside the network by incorporating the Probabilistic Energy Aware Routing (PER) and Body Node Coordinator (BNC) is versatile in the network. Results: A simulation result demonstrates that the network lifetime is reliably improved. The placement of BNC using the Modified Position-Aware BNC Placement algorithm along with the PER protocol improves the network lifetime reliably. Application: The proposed system facilitates to intimate the patient’s critical parameters to the remote doctor in prior, this saves the diagnosis time and thus helps to save the Life.Keywords

The safety concern in means of transport has been considerably increased in last few decades. Distinct Sensory systems have been applied inside and outside vehicles in order to save lives. In this regard, imaging and vision system are used for capturing the static position of the passengers inside the vehicle during collision. There are many approaches to capture an image concatenation from a camera and to analyze them. The image of the passengers is captured during rear end vehicle collision by an inside car camera which is fixed on the left top of front windshield and an event parsing algorithm identifies the collision that has occurred. The decomposing of the collision activity is classified into three activity and uses the Or-And Graph (OAG) to compose the compositions of the temporal relationship among the collision detection. An online parsing (OP) algorithm for OAG formed from Earle's parser is employed to parse the image and identify the passenger's condition. This technique could be used as an enhancement for the safety of the passengers and to provide immediate assistance during vehicle collision.Keywords

Objective: To give details about socio-economic conditions of respondents and find out factors determining the establishment of drip irrigation system in Aruppukottai block in Virudhunagar district, Tamil Nadu in India.
Methods:Primary data is main supporting source of this research and it is collected in the year 2019. Totally 100 samples are collected from 10 villages and each in village 10 samples are selected on the basis of purposive sampling techniques. Respondents’ information is gathered from various sources and they are as follows: Banking sectors, Panchayati Raj Institutions and District Rural Development Agency, Virudhunagar district. This data is analysed by percentage and factor analysis.
Findings:Primary data has been collected from 10 villages in Aruppukottai Block. Most of the farmers are more than 50 years old. Graduates are not interested to do farming activities. Almost three-fourth of respondent’s islivingon nuclear family system. Nearly two-third of farmers’ family income (62%) are between ₹1,00,000 - ₹2,00,000. Ten variables are selected and analysed to identify the influential reasons to launch drip irrigation system. This analysis identified two major factors: Most dominantfactoris systematic water distribution, easy soil infiltrations, increase land size, sustain moisture and minimise water scarcity. Least ranking factor is sustaining soil fertility, operating cost, media, government and NGO’s support.
Application: Governments should start various irrigation related programmes and it must be reached gross ischolar_main level. These programmes are associated with efficient water resource management.

The Megacity of Delhi, home to 19 million inhabitants, is infamous for its poor air quality mainly due to anthropogenic emissions. While the COVID-19 pandemic is a health emergency, lockdown due to it saw an unprecedented decline in emission sources of pollutants by ∼85%–90% in Delhi, resulting in sharp decline in the concentration of majority of pollutants. Here we report the experimental estimate of baseline level that is defined as the minimum level reached after lockdown under consistent fair weather condition of major criteria pollutants. This may be considered as an indicator of the background levels to which the population is chronically exposed. The consequences of such chronic air pollution exposure are excess respiratory and cardiovascular morbidity and mortality which are reported to be more serious than severe pollution episodes by epidemiologists. As the lockdown which was imposed on 24 March 2020, was extended during April and May, we present the prevailing ambient pollution levels and compare them with the baseline levels. Results are based on India’s largest monitoring network of 34 stations in Delhi. The findings are critical for policymakers to fine-tune ambient air quality standards and regulations leading to the development of effective risk management policies and control strategies.Keywords
